BEAT; a place, a pulse, an aesthetic. The rejection of academic formalism, materialism and conformity.

This exhibition is Angela Cornish's first solo show. Beat is a collection of three visual stories told using photography through a documentary method.

These stories are not inherently unruly, but by nature are at odds with hegemonic norms. They force an acknowledgement of the infinite realities of the human experience. Sometimes just being yourself is an act of rebellion.
