Don't let The Bastards Grind You Down #2
Don’t Let the Bastards Grind You Down #2 is the second incarnation of an exhibition featuring New York City zines and posters, collectively known as the Bastard Zine Collection.
The collection broadly deals with themes of social activism. Specifically, it focuses on issues relevant to New Yorkers in today’s tumultuous climate.
Zine titles include: Women Artists Zine by Michael Sabine Rear, Where Have All the Feminist Bookstores Gone? By Mr Elvis, and Trump Reminds Me of My Rape by Ifer Moore and K.V. Natan.
The zines and posters are displayed int he main gallery space, with footage of protest in NYC playing on an old TV. The window space consists of copies of zines and posters and a Lego protest display. Each sign created for the Lego figurines is taken from an actual protest sign from NYC.
