EGG explores the way the ordinary can become absurd through repetition.


In the same way that a word loses meaning and simply becomes a sound through ‘semantic satiation’ these photos of eggs become absurd when placed together in an archive.


Eggs act as both one of the foundational building blocks of life on earth, and an ancient mythological symbol in cultures around the globe.


Stripped of all its mythos the egg has become a commodity product in the modern world, cheap to produce and transport a practically ubiquitous source of protein.
