Clark's creative practise explores the intersections between the decorative and the feminine, the kitsch and the pretty, the meaningless and the significant. Smell you later: a parody of the decorative aims to parody how floral patterns, bubbly forms and bright saturated colours are often dismissed as being unimportant, silly or decorative.
This exhibition also parodies the decorative presentation of paintings through the obnoxiously large, bubble shaped and smelly frames. Each colour of faux fur in the floor work and each frame radiates a different pungent artificial smell. Viewers are encouraged to remove their shoes and walk across the floor work.
